My mother, Beverly Murphy, was in the hospital. Heather was also training and transferring her excellent compassion and expertise. Heather was extremely kind to my mother at all times. She was funny and put my mom at ease with her wit.

Mom was in for fluid in her lungs and came in with a stage 2 wound. Heather was on top of everything. She realized my mother was uneasy and helped her relax. 

My mother returned to the hospital about two weeks later, and when she got up to the third floor, her nurses were Heather and her trainee again. I was so grateful. They treated my mom like family. Especially how they talked to her and remembered everything about her medical background. Heather always filled the next shift nurse in on all that they needed to know to ensure that my mom had the best care. I am truly grateful. 

Heather called and updated me every day she was on shift. That gave me such relief. I have never felt sad leaving a hospital; you usually cannot wait to leave. With Heather as her nurse, I felt confident my mother would get excellent care in a very compassionate manner.
