The Pain Clinic has gone through a lot of changes this past year. Christy has stepped into a charge role. She keeps the clinic running smoothly between staffing issues, patients, and the doctors. She is very organized and very approachable and always willing to help anyone, no matter what is going on. 
 
I can hardly put into words why she absolutely deserves this award, but I’ll try.

She has been a loyal employee for over 20 years. She is the reason our clinic runs so smoothly, even in times of a little chaos. She is always where help is needed. She is so full of knowledge and is an amazing mentor. She is always working in the background. She takes on so many responsibilities that we never know sometimes they are part of the routine. She just automatically does them.

She is also willing to explain some of these projects to make sure they are done if she has to be out of work. Christy has been open and honest/friendly since the first day I started. We all work well as a team. She knows and performs each aspect of our job duties seamlessly. Over the years working in the department, she has been working regularly with each individual physician, knowing each one’s preferences for the clinic visits and procedure rooms.

She has labeled supplies and made preference sheets for each person (physician). I am truly blessed to work with her. She cares deeply for her patients and co-workers. It has been my best decision to come to work here with them. One of the best jobs I’ve had in 26 years of nursing, and a lot I have to contribute to her training and the wonderful environment she creates. 
 
Christy goes above and beyond daily. She is the most organized person I’ve ever met. She is such a support to the pain clinic and takes ownership of all and anything. She continuously looks ahead, doing her best to plan ahead for supplies and scheduling. She sends group texts for constant updates and communications. She tirelessly supports and guides physicians. She never seems to be tired and never misses work. She teaches and sets an immaculate example to us all. Christy stays in contact even if she is on vacation or out on leave. Goes above and beyond daily and very much deserves this award for years of service and dedication.  
 
Christy really made me feel welcome when I first started working in the pain clinic. She took me in as if she knew me forever. At first, I only went to work in the pain clinic every once in a while, so it was difficult to remember exactly what needed to be done in the style and manner each doctor liked things. She was so considerate to make me a go-to list as a reference. She took in my many questions, or even repeated questions, as nicely as possible, and was very patient with me as well.

When the schedule got busy, she helped as soon as we started to get super busy. She made sure everyone is ok in their work and not overwhelmed in their work. When issues come up, she makes sure things are resolved professionally in a timely manner! Patients coming in are never in their best moods due to their pain levels, and she always makes patients, staff, and visitors smile.

I am thankful to have the opportunity to work with her and learn what all she knows with my new experience in working in the pain clinic with her year in the pain clinic.
