From the very first time I met Stephanie, I was struck by her excellent communication skills, particularly the way she actively listened to my siblings and me about our mother's care. She conveyed such empathy and compassion, creating and nurturing a truly supportive environment for both staff and relatives. We always felt valued and included as partners in delivering care on the ward. Stephanie also shows great enthusiasm for her role and holds herself and her team to exceptionally high standards. In one conversation, she shared with me that she even misses work when she’s not there, reflecting her deep commitment and passion for what she does. As a former nurse myself, now retired, I would have been inspired by her leadership and the positive culture she fosters on the ward. It is clear she is dedicated to professionalism and to supporting the development of those around her. From my observations of her interactions with her team, Stephanie's warmth, smile, and kindness bring real reassurance and comfort to visitors, something that has meant so much to my family during what has been a very difficult and emotional time. Stephanie is a credit to her profession and to the L&D hospital where she works.
