Mona was absolutely amazing. She made me feel incredibly safe and supported during what was a very frightening experience in ITU. Being connected to tubes and machines was overwhelming, but Mona took the time to explain everything clearly and patiently, answering all my questions and making sure I understood what was happening. I was also feeling very embarrassed as it was my time of the month, and Mona needed to adjust my catheter. She approached the situation with such gentleness, dignity, and reassurance that I never once felt uncomfortable. Later, when I was transferred to a general ward, Mona actually came to review me. She immediately noticed that I had been waiting for something and ensured it was arranged without delay. It really struck me that she cared about my experience beyond the area where she was working. I have never had a nurse care for me in the way Mona did. She made me feel valued, respected, and truly safe. She turned a horrible and painful experience into something bearable, and for that, I will always be grateful. If she sees this, thank you, Mona, for your compassion, dedication, and kindness. All nurses should aspire to be like you.
