Jess is a valued member of the team who, over recent months, has been going above and beyond within her role whilst the Practice Development and Practice Education Team navigate ongoing staff shortages. Jess has not only ensured that the PD Team continue to provide staff support, but she has also assisted with facilitating training to ensure that preceptees and students receive continued support when cover has been needed.
Respect and Integrity - Jess is a strong team player, offering support of her colleagues and taking on regular additional tasks to ensure the needs of others are met. Jess does this without complaint and is always available to help.
Compassion and Advocacy/Accessible and Visible - Jess provides ongoing pastoral support within her PNA role, to her peers and to staff and learners alike. During recent staff shortages within the Practice Education Team, Jess ensured that learners were supported and advocated on their behalf if any concerns were escalated. This is not within Jess's jurisdiction, however, once again, she was happy to assist and did so with confidence, competence and compassion.
Ability to Drive Team Development, Resilience and Competency/Quality and Accountability - Jess has undertaken additional training to enhance her ability to support the preceptorship programme (again an additional task to her JD). She challenges, educates and motivates attendees to ensure best practice. This trait is also evident in how she communicates with the team.
Humility and Gratitude - Despite the ongoing increased tasks that Jess takes on to ensure sufficient running of the teams, Jess does so without complaint, never asks for thanks and frequently offers assistance without expecting reciprocation. Jess is a joy to work with, a true asset to both teams, and we don't know how we would have managed without her of late.
