We were withdrawing life support for a patient. One of the patient’s children with developmental disabilities was brought in from his group home to visit his parent before they passed. He was having a difficult time staying in the room and instead resorted to pacing in the hall, having small behavioral outbursts.

Noel passed through the hallway and picked up that we were having trouble with redirection, and the connection she made with him was like magic. She knew the perfect words to calm him and got him to sit down with snacks. No one else was able to achieve this connection with him!
