I would like to thank Michael for working so incredibly hard and exhausting all efforts on my mother’s last day in this world. Michael continuously advocated for my mom and rarely even left the room.

 He remained professional and personable, and I can’t thank him enough for trying everything possible and staying so on top of every CRRT bag, drip, hourly ABGs, and much more. It comforts me in my grief to know my mother had such an amazing nurse and physicians as well, trying everything possible to save her. I myself know how sick of a patient my mom was, and as a critical care nurse, I know how it is to work that hard for a patient and them to unfortunately pass despite medical efforts.

 I just want Michael to know he touched our lives, comforted us, and made a difference in the care my mother received. I see the passion he has for his job and for his patients, and he is such a wonderful nurse and a wonderful human. The unit as a whole, every nurse, physician, midlevel physician, and tech included, is incredible, and I’m comforted to know my mother received amazing care, even if it was short-lived.
