She cared for me as if I were her sister.
Deidre has been exceptional. She really cares about her patients; she listens and has so much compassion. Deidre has gone above and beyond during my time at the hospital. Her kindness and dedication should be recognized. Thank you, Deirdre, for all that you do. You are the best.

Deirdre is the most competent and effective RN who delivered the best care possible. I looked forward to my weekend nights knowing she was coming on duty. She cared for me as if I were her sister. If anyone should be unfortunately hospitalized, I would wish to send them Deirdre so that the whole experience is made not just tolerable but better for just having met her. Though her weekend night crew was shorter on staff than weekday you wouldn't know it by how fast she always got to me. She kept track of my pain management, all while providing additional tips on how to recover faster, as she is also a caregiver at home to her elderly father. She communicated with the day staff about switching my potassium intake orally instead of through the IV because she saw how upset I was at my IV being blown so many times. She actively listened because she wanted to know how she could offer better assistance instead of nodding her head and ignoring my concerns. If there's ever a model of the perfect nurse, Deirdre is it! Please recognize her for her exceptional, outstanding, and amazing service. Please honor her as the recipient of the DAISY Award. There is no one more deserving.
