Kenia, our night nurse, went above and beyond in her duties, taking the time to thoroughly teach us some parenting skills, moving quickly when I was feeling very unwell, and always leaving us a written note about which meds came when, for example. Most importantly, she always poured so much affection and patience into her job and never showed signs of tiredness, even though she was on the night shift with us 2 nights in a row. I once complimented her during our stay, and she said that she absolutely loved what she did. It’s a relief and a delight to work with people who love what they do. Kenia should be an example to all nurses because she chooses kindness in all her actions, and she is making a difference in people’s lives every day! We loved meeting Kenia; it was a true blessing.
