Chinnu was my nurse from 7:30 am to when I was discharged. She showed exceptional kindness, and she listened to me instead of making me feel small. She talked to both my children when I was having a contraction, and she also held my hand when I was scared because my baby’s heart rate kept dropping. She made a really strong memory, and both my toddlers said that they wanted to become nurses.

I was so blessed to have Chinnu from the moment I arrived on the unit. I am a first-time mom of twin boys and unexpectedly had to have an emergency procedure done right after my 20-week anatomy scan. I was terrified for myself and my babies. Chinnu’s professionalism and comforting personality almost instantly put me at ease. She is so knowledgeable but also extremely compassionate to her patients, and that is such a gift to possess. I’ve looked forward to her shifts as she always brings a smile to me. Chinnu is not only excellent with me but also so kind and informative to my guests, and they truly appreciated her as well. I want to personally nominate Chinnu for the DAISY Award for her professionalism, her high standard of care, her trustworthiness, and for being everything I’ve needed during this difficult time. I am truly lucky to have had her on my team, and I will never forget her.
