She has consistently demonstrated her advocacy for patients and families through her compassionate care and dedication, both in her studies and personal life.
Rebecca is a nursing student at Galen College of Nursing - Miami (Pembroke Pines). I am an active-duty service member in the Navy, stationed in Virginia Beach, while she is currently residing at my home of record in Miami to finish her nursing degree and accomplish her lifelong goal of becoming a nurse in the United States.

From what I heard and saw from her student peers and professors, she is an outstanding student with great character. Rebecca is a United States Navy Veteran, and I believe that the skills that she learned while being in the service have molded her to be a respected student at Galen. We have countless conversations about her day-to-day experiences at the campus and at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where she is currently doing her clinicals. In every aspect, she loves what she does as a student!

In addition to the excellent ethics she’s demonstrating at Galen, she also comes back home every day, where she takes care of my mother, who has granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA), and my grandfather, who is terminally ill with Parkinson’s disease. This is something she does stemming from her deep compassion to care for others.

She has consistently demonstrated her advocacy for patients and families through her compassionate care and dedication, both in her studies and personal life. As a nursing student at Galen College, she engages actively with her peers and instructors, showing a deep commitment to understanding patient needs and delivering high-quality care. Her experience during clinicals at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital has provided her with numerous opportunities to advocate for patients.

rebeccaRregularly seeks to understand the concerns and preferences of her patients and their families, ensuring they feel heard and supported. She embodies the nursing principle of holistic care, considering not just the physical health of her patients but also their emotional and psychological needs.
