Lara has remained in my thoughts this whole time, especially every year on my daughter’s birthday. Life has a way of getting busy, but I’ve always meant to recognize the incredible care she provided during one of the most challenging and meaningful moments of my life.

Lara was the nurse who admitted me when I was in labor with my second child, who is now 12 years old! My first delivery had gone smoothly, and I hoped for a similar experience the second time around. I chose to deliver naturally, and Lara was incredibly supportive, encouraging me every step of the way. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned.

After 12 hours of intense labor, I required an emergency C-section. Through it all, Lara stayed by my side, offering comfort and reassurance to both my husband and me until I was transferred to the OR. Her calm presence and unwavering support helped me navigate a frightening and painful experience. What truly touched me was that she came to visit me the next day on her day off! That act of kindness meant the world to me.

She went far beyond her professional duties, showing genuine compassion and care during one of the most vulnerable times in my life.

Lara, you may not remember me, but I will never forget you. Your kindness, encouragement, and dedication left a lasting impact, and I’m so grateful for everything you did. Thank you for being there when I needed it most.
