Amanda was the best nurse I could have ever asked for! Right from the start, when she got on her shift for the night, she realized I was having contractions too frequently. She stayed with me the whole time until she got them under control. She was very on top of everything the whole time! I had to wait to get my epidural since the CRNA was in the OR. She was a huge advocate and kept calling to see how much longer it would be, and to see if someone could cover him while I got one. She was very fast when things started progressing to get help in the room and stayed calm the whole time. Even when the doctor was stuck in another delivery.

My son ended up having shoulder dystocia. When he was delivered, Amanda was very fast when this was mentioned to do the correct maneuvers with Dr. B to get him out, and she saved his life. Her and Dr. B's quick actions made sure he wasn't stuck any longer than necessary. She held my hand the whole time he came out and wasn't breathing to calm me down. She also kept me updated that everything would be okay. They ended up calling a code on my son, and he had to go straight to the NICU. So, my husband went with my baby so he wouldn't be alone. Amanda stayed next to me the whole time because I had no other family in the room.

Even after the delivery was over, and it was just us left in the room. She offered to stay in my room next to me so I wouldn't have to be in the room alone. I can never thank her and Dr. B enough! I truly believe they saved my son's life!
