I was suffering from a high fever, severe shivering, and dehydration. My skin was dry, my veins were not visible, and I was extremely anxious.  Several staff members tried to locate my veins and even used a vein viewer, but it was very difficult.

Atefah approached me with such calmness and gentleness. She spoke to me kindly, reassured me, and immediately made me feel safe. Even though my veins were very hard to find, she took only a few minutes to assess and confidently inserted the cannula on the first attempt.

What made her truly exceptional was not only her skill, but her presence. She was calm, gentle, patient, and respectful. I was afraid at first, but because of the way she spoke to me and treated me, I trusted her completely. She turned a very stressful and painful moment into a comforting experience. 

She represents everything a nurse should be: professional, compassionate, and deeply caring. She is the best nurse that I have ever encountered.
