Danielle Goren is an exceptional example of an amazing student nurse. She works hard in theory and works even harder in patient care settings to make sure her patients receive the best care possible.
I am honored to recognize Danielle because of the extraordinary compassion and empathy she consistently showed toward her patients during the time we worked together. I witnessed firsthand how she goes above and beyond to make every individual feel truly seen and valued.
One particular moment that stands out was when an elderly patient who had no family visiting and seemed to be overlooked by the primary staff. Danielle noticed that the patient’s hair was in disarray; this clearly added to the woman's discomfort and sense of neglect. Without being asked, Danielle took the initiative to sit with the patient and engage with her in meaningful conversation while braiding her hair.
This simple act of kindness transformed the patient’s demeanor, providing her with a sense of comfort and dignity that she had been lacking. It was clear that Danielle wasn't just performing a task and going through the motions; she was providing the emotional support and human connection that this patient desperately needed. By taking the time to address a need that others had ignored, she demonstrated the true heart of nursing.
Danielle’s ability to recognize the silent needs of her patients makes her a remarkable caregiver and a role model for our profession. Her dedication to holistic care helps make sure that no patient under her watch feels invisible.

Danielle Goren is an exceptional example of an amazing student nurse. She works hard in theory and works even harder in patient care settings to make sure her patients receive the best care possible. If you see Danielle, she will always greet you with a smile and the nicest things to say. She truly knows how to brighten someone's day, and she does that for everyone, especially her patients.
On especially stressful days, she is the person you want in your corner because her support and words of encouragement will help you feel ready to tackle the world. I am nominating Danielle because the care and comfort she provides to the people around her is undoubtedly a sneak peek into the life-changing care she will provide as a future nurse. There is no one more deserving of a public "thank you" for outstanding care and dedication than Danielle.

Danielle takes her time to listen, communicate, and advocate for individuals who need it. She is very dedicated to what she does and her work to ensure that she provides the best care. During class, she is always participating and making sure that everyone in class receives the maximum information. She asks questions and gets the entire class to communicate with one another. She is a great example of how a student should be, and she helps whoever needs to understand information in class.

Danielle has always gone above and beyond; she is extremely attentive to the needs of not just the patients she takes care of but also the other cohort students. She is incredibly excellent in anticipating any and all needs that her nurses may also need.
Danielle excels in communication. She is her patients’ strongest advocate. She made a meaningful difference while caring for patients in the ICU by consistently demonstrating compassion, clinical competence, and strong advocacy skills.
During one particularly challenging shift, she cared for a critically ill patient who was intubated and unable to communicate verbally. Danielle took extra time to assess nonverbal cues, provide comfort through therapeutic touch, and explain each intervention to both the patient and their family, even when the unit was extremely busy.
Recognizing subtle changes in the patient’s condition, the student promptly communicated concerns to the nurse and interdisciplinary team, contributing to timely interventions. This experience highlights the student’s ability to deliver patient-centered care, advocate effectively, and positively impact outcomes in a high-acuity ICU environment.
