She has been a mentor, a role model, and a steady presence for countless nurses, providers, and leaders. Many of us have grown professionally because of her guidance, her trust, and her belief in teamwork.
For 50 years, Martha has exemplified what it means to live a life of total commitment to nursing. Her career has not simply been a profession — it has been a calling. Through her leadership, vision, and determination, she helped develop and strengthen our EMS program, ensuring seamless care from the field to the bedside. She provided oversight and guidance to four Emergency Departments, supported and advanced our Advanced Practice Providers, elevated our Trauma Program, and championed the SANE Nurse Program with compassion and purpose.
Her impact reaches far beyond programs and departments. It lives in the culture she built — one rooted in kindness, accountability, ownership, and teamwork. She has consistently modeled calm leadership in times of crisis, thoughtful decision-making in moments of complexity, and unwavering support for her teams through every regulatory requirement and operational challenge.
Martha holds herself and others to the highest standards, not out of obligation, but out of a deep commitment to providing the safest, highest-quality care to our communities. Her leadership ensured regulatory excellence while never losing sight of the human side of healthcare. She understands that behind every policy, every metric, and every initiative are patients and families depending on us.
