Sydney is amazing. During a very difficult time for our family, she was kind, thorough, compassionate, and professional. My father-in-law’s family had to be out of town when he and I received the very grim prognosis about how little time he has left. Not being a blood relative, I had little legal right to information.

Sydney always ensured that I was aware when a doctor would be in the room, so that my father-in-law could give them permission to speak with me. This not only made the process legal but also allowed my father-in-law to have an advocate in the room to ensure his wishes were followed. Further, it allowed him to have a friendly and familiar face in the room when he received the bad news. 

She assisted in expediting the visit from palliative care so that my father-in-law was allowed to leave the hospital on Saturday instead of waiting until Monday. His only desire was to be at home. He passed away on Sunday night, at home, mainly due to Sydney's excellent work and compassion. 

She was so kind and gentle with my father-in-law. She provided tenderness, gentle care, and straightforward, honest answers to questions. I simply want her excellent work and compassion to be recognized. My family and I will forever appreciate her thoughtfulness and care.
