Dearest Paloma, 

I just wanted to thank you for being such a great nurse and a great friend to me. You helped me more than you will ever know. It didn’t matter if we talked about food, where you came from, or crazy stuff. It helped me a lot to tell you about my dying. I guess I will be scared until the end. It’s just the unknown, I guess I’m afraid of.

I know that God will take care of me, and I know I will be with my loved ones, but I don’t want to lose the people here that I love so much. I hope I will be able to look over them for eternity. You have such a beautiful heart; I could tell instantly that you did. Not many people are like that. I think God put you in my life to give me a little peace. It worked because I felt so peaceful and good this morning. I felt better mentally and physically.

I know I will have my son when I pass and I am so grateful to have such a wonderful son, but I have to have someone help me pass over that isn’t family I wish it would be with you. Or hopefully someone as loving and caring as you. 

Please have the best life, and I wish you nothing but happiness and love. I will never forget everything you did for me. God put you with me for a reason.
