She spent multiple hours each day in the room caring for the very young and very energetic children, all while managing her other patient load.
A patient's mother shared that she is so grateful for the care that her Daughter received from the Emergency Department staff during her crisis. She would also like to thank Nurse Shannon and other staff members for providing care for her 5-year-old, twin 2-year-olds, and 1-year-old grandchildren while her son traveled from Maryland to pick up the children. She shared that she will be forever grateful. She shared that Central Harnett Hospital shows up for its community. She is so happy that her daughter is part of such a community.

Shannon came in at 6 am and was responsible for the kids from 7 am to the end of her shift, some 11 hours later. She spent multiple hours each day in the room caring for the very young and very energetic children, all while managing her other patient load. Shannon remained positive with the children, assisted social services with finding a solution for the children, and provided constant redirection to the mother due to her sudden mental incapacity. Great job, Shannon!
