I was having on-and-off contractions, back pain, and intense vaginal pressure. Kelly came to immediately assess and check both my baby and me, but the fetal monitoring was not able to detect contractions. Kelly knew something was off because she did not leave me and called multiple times for help until an OB resident came.

Cord prolapse was confirmed, and without hesitation, Kelly pushed me with all my contraptions as fast as she could, alone. I can still remember how worried she was for the baby and me. We are so grateful for her. It could’ve been way worse if Kelly weren’t as thorough and compassionate as she is. She is a gem on this unit and in this hospital. I will be forever grateful for Nurse Kelly.
