In one of the hardest seasons our family has ever faced, Jodie showed up with patience, compassion, and a level of attentiveness that went far beyond her job.
Jodie always gives exceptional care to her patients, but this past Friday, she wanted to let the family feel more included in her patient's care. The daughter wanted to help bathe her mom to feel more included in her care. Jodie let her help, and it made the patient and her daughter feel like they were part of her care team. She was very appreciative.

Nurse Jodie has been an absolute blessing to my grandmother and to our entire family. From the moment she entered the room, her presence brought comfort, reassurance, and genuine care. In one of the hardest seasons our family has ever faced, Jodie showed up with patience, compassion, and a level of attentiveness that went far beyond her job. She speaks to my grandmother with kindness, explains every step clearly, and makes sure she feels safe and understood. Jodie never rushed, never made us feel like a burden, and treated my grandmother with the dignity and gentleness she truly deserves.
Even on busy days, she checked in consistently, advocated for her needs, and made sure she was as comfortable as possible. As a family member sitting at the bedside, you notice everything: the tone of voice, the little things, the way a nurse treats your loved one when no one is watching. Jodie showed that nursing is not just a profession for her, it’s a calling. Her compassion has meant more to us than she knows. We are deeply grateful for her care, her heart, and the comfort she has given my grandmother during this difficult time. She truly embodies the spirit of the DAISY Award, and we will never forget the impact she has had on us.

She is very passionate about her job. She is taking care of my mother, and her attitude is wonderful. She doesn’t mind answering the family questions and helping when asked. Her personality is great, and I love that she has great faith. Jodie was very kind, professional, and attentive to the needs of my mother. She answered our questions and, when unable to do so, directed us to the doctor. She has compassion and genuinely cares for her patients. People like Jodie are essential to the helping profession, and I thank God that she has been providing care to my mother.
