Our Dad was admitted for a simple valve replacement. During recovery, he suffered cardiac arrest. His 4-week stay in the 2nd-floor recovery area was an incredible journey. From his coming off the Impeller, off ECMO, and the intubation tube coming out, we were blessed by the numerous angels who were by his and our side during this time. One of these angels, and someone to me who epitomizes the nursing profession, is Asmita.

Not only was Asmita very technically competent, but she was also a caring human being that graced a difficult patient (who for the most part was a little confused about what happened during his stay) with patience and kindness, Not only did she stand by us during our stay, check in on us when she was not the "assigned" nurse, but she even helped us carry his things down on checkout day.
