Destiny was outstanding when it came to caring for my 3-year-old son. She was very nice and went out of her way to play with my son and make him comfortable. My son G wouldn’t let the doctors do anything unless Destiny was in the room with him. She even went with him to get his CT Scan. They had to page her from different areas of the hospital to come be with him, and she came without any annoyance. She was beyond kind to him with every interaction.

Destiny provides exceptional care to her patients and the unwavering support she gives her coworkers. I witnessed Destiny care for a particularly anxious patient who arrived in the emergency department, overwhelmed and fearful of what was happening. From the moment she entered the room, Destiny remained calm, patient, and reassuring. She took the time to explain each step of care, answered questions without rushing, and made sure the patient felt heard and safe. Her presence alone eased the patient's anxiety, turning a frightening experience into one filled with comfort and trust.

In the midst of the constant chaos of the ER, Destiny somehow manages to keep everything running smoothly while never losing her compassion. She steps in wherever she is needed and is someone both patients and staff can always rely on. Her dedication, work ethic, and genuine kindness truly embody the spirit of the DAISY Award.
