Her presence made a considerable difference in my dad’s mental state.
When we arrived at the hospital to visit him, we found out he had experienced chest pains during the night and had been taken to the ER. It was an incredibly scary time for our family, and I know it was especially frightening for my dad, being away from home and in pain. He doesn’t often show how much pain he's in, so when he said it felt like an 11/10, I knew it was really bad.

He told me there was one person who made him feel infinitely better—Olivia, a member of the X team. I will be forever grateful to her for that. My dad told me Olivia held his hand and made him feel less alone. Her presence made a considerable difference in my dad’s mental state. As his daughter, the thought of my dad in pain and alone sends me into a spiral even now. She did not have to go the extra mile, but the fact that she did makes me believe in goodness.

The following night, when my dad had chest pains again in the X, she came to check on him. With kindness, she jokingly called him a “troublemaker.” Despite the intense pain, my dad was able to smile and trust that he would be ok, which was incredibly important before the surgery the next day. I will forever be thankful for Olivia’s compassion and support, especially for my dad, the most important man in my life.
