I am a nurse at Corewell Royal Oak, and being a nurse makes you very aware of all of the negative things that can take place while hospitalized. To say the least, when I came in for an induction, I was very anxious and nervous about what was ahead. Karra came in in the morning, introduced herself, and immediately began laying out our plan for the day, what we would accomplish, and how she was there to get me through and advocate for what was best for me. I could feel an instant ease in my anxiety as Karra is clearly very knowledgeable in her field.

Karra explained everything in great detail and gave me the "why" behind every intervention. She answered our questions thoroughly and then some. She never seems in a hurry to end a conversation or rush out of the room. I truly felt like we were friends and she was helping me because she cares about me, not because it is her job. She then visited me the next day when I wasn't her patient before having my c-section, and again in PACU. Karra is a phenomenal, caring nurse and deserves far more recognition than a DAISY Award.
