There are people who choose a profession, and then there are those who are called-that is, Sandy. She is the best patient advocate, always knows the details that some don’t take time to read in the chart. If you call her, she’s there. You can find her speed walking up and down the hall, spreading her smile, nursing skills, and extra love. We had a loved one here, and a spouse with dementia. Sandy helped us manage both. She gave hugs, advice, and special treats, somehow in addition to stellar nursing care. She is a rare woman who treats the body and the soul when you’re her patient.

Sandy has been my dad’s nurse twice now, and she was amazing! Sandy goes above and beyond in caring for her patients. Her compassion and kindness have been so comforting to us. When we found ourselves back here on the 5th floor, we were so grateful to see her smiling face.
