I would like to nominate Cami, a third shift McLaren Lapeer nurse. I have been here multiple times. She always goes above and beyond in her care with me. Yes, I've had her as my nurse more than once. The first time I was here, I was here for a week. I loved her bedside manners. She wanted to get to know me. She wasn't here just for a paycheck. I didn't know what was going to happen to me as I went septic. She assured me and took time to comfort me.

On this current hospital stay, she remembered me instantly! I have had Cami almost every night this time. Nothing has changed! She's still that amazing nurse. I was crying in pain, and she called the doctor and didn't waste time getting me help. One night, my roommate had a seizure. I yelled for help. Nurses came in running. The whole team knew what to do. I was amazed. I watched from afar as Cami typed in orders. Do a code, then afterwards she stayed in our room, taking, getting the meds ordered, making sure my roommate was ok. These are just a few of her exceptional moments I have seen in her nursing career.
