It's not every day that a nurse is given personal recognition in an obituary. Except that's exactly what happened when the family of one of her patients included Nadia in the obituary of their loved one, at the expressed request of the patient herself.

From the patient's mother: "You made her stay just a little bit better... She compared all the nurses to you... Before she passed, she said, “Mom, make sure you mention Nadia in my obituary”, and I did. 

The excerpt from the obituary reads:

"The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to University Hospital in San Antonio, Nurse Nadia, and MA Roger for their unwavering support and compassionate care during [patient's] stay at the hospital."

What an honor to walk alongside a nurse like Nadia, whose profoundly personal care has created a lasting legacy of trust and comfort.
