Having been in and out of hospitals for 25 years with my son, never have I come across a nurse with so much compassion towards a patient or family member.  Pauline answered all of my questions without hesitation.  If she didn't know the answers, she found out and explained them to me.​

Not only did she ask how my son was doing, but often asked how I was holding up, due to visiting every day after work and the weekends. She gave me the peace of mind to be able to go to work during the day because I felt so sure that my son was safe in her care.​

Pauline realized I wasn't sleeping well at night due to several interruptions, so she put a sign on the door – Do Not Disturb between 12 am and 5 am.  This helped a lot to get undisturbed sleep for a few hours. She would regularly check to ensure we had everything that we needed.  Always with a smile and a very positive attitude.​

​She arranged a cake without any prompting for our wedding anniversary.  That really made our day.
