Kaleah, since semester one, has always offered help on the floor and in class. Any resource, like study guides, SLOs, or videos, was always shared when deemed useful. She always made time on the floor to lend a hand or explain a topic that she knew or had seen before. She is never afraid to offer help and prepare others for exams. Her CAN and people skills have turned her into a wonderful and caring soon to be nurse.

I am honored to nominate Kaleah Williams for the DAISY Award. Throughout this entire program, I have had the privilege of watching her grow into the kind of nurse every instructor hopes to teach: hard-working, compassionate, resilient, and deeply committed to the profession. Her journey has not been easy; she has faced challenges that would have caused many others to quit. Instead, she rose above each obstacle with determination and grace, proving time and time again that nursing is not just what she does; it is who she is.
What sets Kaleah apart is the way she shows up for others. Whether caring for patients, supporting classmates, or simply offering a kind word when someone needs it most, she leads with heart. Her patients feel heard, safe, and valued in Kaleah’s care. Her empathy is genuine, her presence is reassuring, and her ability to make others feel genuinely cared for is exceptional. She is without a doubt the kind of nurse I would want to care for my own family.
In clinical, Kaleah’s growth has been inspiring. She has worked tirelessly, asked thoughtful questions, and embraced every learning opportunity without hesitation. Even on difficult days, her perseverance never wavered. The courage to talk to residents, attendings, specialists, nurses, and steady resilience have shaped her into a strong, capable nurse who embodies the very essence of this profession.
On a personal level, I will deeply miss having Kaleah as my advisee. Her positive energy, even on the days she was ready to give up, friendliness, and empowering spirit made each day brighter. They have left a lasting impact on her peers, every patient she touched, and especially me. She has inspired me to be a better, caring nurse.
Kaleah is a shining example of what nursing is all about, a combination of skill, compassion, strength, and unwavering humanity. I am incredibly proud of the nurse she has become, and I cannot wait to see the amazing contributions she will make to the profession.
