I would like to recognize Susanne for the incredible care she gave to me, my husband, and our baby during labour and birth. 

I had a very normal labour, which turned quite traumatic very quickly and ended in an emergency caesarean section. Throughout it all, Susanne was calm, kind, and reassuring. She explained what was happening, supported my husband, and made sure I felt safe and cared for when I was very overwhelmed. Her presence made an extremely difficult experience so much less traumatic. 

She also escalated our care quickly, calmly, and professionally when it was needed, without ever alarming us. The way Susanne managed the situation made us feel confident that we were in the best possible hands, even as things changed rapidly. 

She treated us with such compassion and respect at a time when we were at our most vulnerable. I will always be grateful for the care she gave us, and I truly believe she made a lasting difference to how we remember the birth of our child. She is an exceptional midwife and a credit to the Maternity Ward at Letterkenny University Hospital, and I can only hope I am lucky enough to have her care again in the future.
