Our 84-year-old grandmother was a patient at Letterkenny University Hospital, where she received care from Daya during a particularly vulnerable time. When no family member was available to remain in the hospital with her, Daya consistently went above and beyond her professional duties to ensure our grandmother was safe, comfortable, and cared for with genuine compassion.

Daya regularly took the time to visit her room whenever she was not otherwise occupied, engaging her in meaningful and uplifting conversations on a daily basis. These interactions provided not only companionship but also emotional reassurance, which was incredibly important to our grandmother during her stay. As our grandmother was not mobile, Daya provided exceptional hands-on care.

She assisted her with personal needs, including helping her to the bathroom, showering her, and washing and drying her hair with dignity and kindness. Every task was carried out with patience, respect, and genuine warmth. Our great-grandmother firmly believes that Daya’s dedication, attentiveness, and compassion were instrumental in helping our grandmother through her hospital stay, and we wholeheartedly agree. Daya’s care made a profound difference to our family during a very difficult time, and her actions truly exemplify the highest standards of nursing and patient care.
