During one of the most vulnerable moments of my life, the nurse was my constant support. She carefully monitored my baby’s heart tracing as I prepared for delivery, never leaving my side and always anticipating my needs. When my labor pains intensified, the doctor told me I was six centimeters dilated.

I told the nurse assistant I needed to use the restroom, and she stayed with me, offering comfort and reassurance, even in that private moment. It was there, in the restroom, that I felt the overwhelming nearness of childbirth. I called out to her, asking her to inform the doctor and begin the delivery process.

Not once did she leave me alone or make me feel neglected. Her presence gave me incredible strength and eased my anxiety. She was attentive, compassionate, and truly devoted, fulfilling her role with remarkable dedication. Because of her, I felt safe and cared for every step of the way.
