Michelle is the very definition of excellence, empathy, and collaboration. She cared for both my mom and me during my mom’s recent surgery, and her level of compassion, professionalism, and attentiveness was truly extraordinary. My mom was nervous and vulnerable post-op, but this nurse made her feel safe, seen, and genuinely cared for. She anticipated my mom’s needs before we even had to ask—managing her comfort and taking time to speak with her like a human being, not just a patient. Her approach was grounded in compassion and respect, and it brought peace to an otherwise stressful day. But her care didn’t stop with the patient.

Michelle noticed I had come straight from working all night and hadn’t slept. She went out of her way to bring me a recliner, pillows, and blankets so I could rest near my mom. It was a small act that made a huge difference and speaks volumes about her empathy and attentiveness. She was also precepting a student that day and was an incredible role model. She took time to explain everything clearly, encouraged questions, and created a calm learning environment. She demonstrated clinical excellence while mentoring the next generation with patience and professionalism. She embodies what it means to be a leader in quality care and a true partner in health. I’m so grateful for her kindness and her extraordinary care for both my mom and me.

Her influence will ripple far beyond just that day—into every patient her student cares for in the future.
