Due to simultaneous falls, my 90+ year-old parents are both in the hospital at the same time. For the first 24 hours, I went back and forth between the rooms, trying not to miss doctors and practitioners. One of my father’s caring nurses was Carley, who is a PRN float nurse. She provided exemplary care, but one particular act of kindness led me to write to you.

Last evening, just before she went off duty, Carley arranged for my mother to be transferred to a vacant room next door to my father. That has facilitated better care today and made it easier for my wife and me. A few minutes ago, my parents were able to see each other for a couple of minutes. We have been so blessed by the excellent care here at JCMC and are pleased to recognize Carley’s commitment to excellence in patient care.
