Tanya is a role model to all our new nurses. She has the skills and knowledge to train our newer staff, but also possesses the patience one expects from a nurse. She takes time out of each shift to educate not only her patients but also the staff she serves as a role model for. As a seasoned RN, I always feel calm and reassured when working with her or following her because of her beautiful spirit. She is that sunshine in stormy waters, and on 2S, those stormy waters occur quite frequently. Her gentle disposition and caring nature always soothe my soul. She epitomizes the art of Nursing. Her quiet, caring nature puts our patients and staff at ease when we are struggling. I am only as good as the team I work with, and I have a wonderful team with Tanya. I am blessed to work on a unit with people as dedicated, selfless, and skilled as this wonderful nurse. It is only fair we recognize her accomplishments and thank her in this beautiful way- to bestow on her a DAISY Award for not only doing the best for her patients and their families but also providing her coworkers with her loving, caring nature.
