You might be surprised that after losing our grandfather, we would have any positivity left to share. This team of healthcare providers made a lasting impact on his life and our memory, and we want them to know how appreciative we are of the exceptional care they provided.

Chassity probably spent the most time with us during our 6-week stay. She is a fabulous nurse, smart, attentive, but what stood out to us the most was her ability to listen and her appreciation for the value of letting the family have a voice in the collaborative care team.

She saw us as team members and valued our input, no matter how much we shared. I know we were probably a lot, because we are nurses as well, but one day I came in to visit, and I knew something wasn’t right. I couldn’t figure it out, but I shared my concerns with Chassity, and she said, “Your gut feeling is enough, let’s run some blood gases”.

Those results led to instant improvement in care for our grandfather. She is the kind of nurse you want in your corner, and I am so thankful to her for listening and being so attentive
