Her empathy and advocacy for her patients are evident and go far beyond expectations!
Growing up in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of a doctor, surrounded by some of the best hospitals in the world, I thought we knew “health care”. That was until my brother moved to The Woodlands and brought my mom here with him. It was a little nerve-racking, thinking about getting my mom a team of doctors (all new) and a hospital that could feel familiar. Well, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands has exceeded expectations.

With that being said, from the moment Barbara walked into my mom’s hospital room, where she is being treated for multiple health situations, we felt an immediate sense of comfort and calm. Barbara didn’t just provide excellent medical care; she created a feeling of home in the hospital. Her professionalism, compassion, and clinical expertise were evident in everything Barbara did and does.

From the way she explained procedures to the way she anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. What truly sets Barbara apart is the way she connected with us on a personal level. Her soothing voice, warm smile, and gentle manner brought peace during some of our most anxious moments.

She treated us with respect, patience, and genuine kindness, always making us feel heard, valued, and cared for as if we were family. Her empathy and advocacy for her patients are evident and go far beyond expectations! You can feel how much she truly loves what she does! Barbara worked seamlessly with the team, showing convenient collaboration and professionalism, but it was her heart that made all the difference.

She embodies everything that makes nursing a calling rather than just a career. Compassion, skill, dedication, and grace. We are forever grateful for Barbara, her care, her presence, and the comfort she brought into our hospital stay! A special thank you to her family for sharing her with us!
