Cindy is an exemplary nurse. She always goes above and beyond for all of her patients and provides incredible care.

Cindy recently had a patient who was going through a difficult time. This patient also had a partial vision impairment and had difficulty reading normal print. As Cindy cared for this patient, he kept mentioning that he wished he had a Bible to read, so Cindy made it her mission to find him a large-print Bible.

After exhausting all the resources at the hospital with no luck, Cindy checked multiple Walmarts in the area. Cindy was able to track down the bible and purchase it. That day, the patient received his new large-print Bible along with some of his favorite snacks from this amazing nurse.

Days later, the patient remained on our floor, and although Cindy was no longer his nurse, she still checked on the patient and later ordered him a magnifying glass so that he would be able to read whatever he'd like. It is this kind of care that models the impact nursing can have on our patients' lives.
