Chris is a problem solver. I had to have a specific IV antibiotic that was tearing up my veins. I was on my third IV when Chris made a call to the pharmacist. He asked if we could dispense the antibiotic over a longer time period.
The pharmacist approved, and that was the last IV for my stay. Chris could have stopped there, but he didn’t. My dad has cancer, and he showed great compassion towards him when he came to visit me after his treatments. Chris would make sure he didn’t need a snack and had a pillow or blanket if he needed one.
He was also a friend of my husband. We were thinking so much about the patient, but the stays are hard on the one closest to them. He would always check up on us and my pain level. Chris made us feel at home, including giving restaurant recommendations as a friend would.
He is one of the many reasons MU Healthcare is our choice for our family, even though it is two hours away. People like Chris and the amazing team make the drive seem short.
