Mary Ann Mogel, RN, embodies the DAISY Award spirit with every patient interaction. Mary Ann shows empathy, positivity, selflessness, kindness, humility, and extraordinary care.

An example of Mary Ann's superior collaboration and coordination is illuminated by her team approach and "can-do" attitude with local community partners, specifically the Veteran population. Mary Ann goes "above and beyond" for Veterans who are experiencing end-of-life situations with little to no social support and are actively transitioning to hospice services.

 Mary Ann goes above and beyond to notify Montana VA and assists in collecting and submitting required federal documentation to assist Veterans in enrolling with the Veteran Health Administration and accessing hospice resources. Mary Ann's actions have helped many Veterans access this VA benefit. May Ann, as a community partner, embodies the VA Mission statement: 'To fulfill President Lincoln's promise to care for those who have served in our nation's military and for their family, caregivers, and survivors.

Mary Ann is a mission-critical community partner who goes the extra mile to ensure her patients are not alone and have an advocate to help them during the death and dying process.
