I was newly postpartum to my second child and feeling like a complete failure with regards to breastfeeding, especially when I had exhausted multiple avenues and had hired two different lactation consultants. Jamela was very enthusiastic about helping me and really tried to find practical solutions and guide me through different techniques. I have had past experiences with health visitors who expressed empathy, but no one has had the same enthusiasm and determination to truly find a solution for me as she did. Not only is she extremely capable at her job, but she is also a very kind individual whose words have been transformative for me during a very vulnerable period. I have never come across any healthcare worker with the same amount of compassion and motivation. I am truly grateful for her, not only her expertise, but also for who she is as a person.
