Brittany received a DAISY nomination from a patient in Senior Care who shared that he had experienced a lower-leg amputation, struggled with suicidal thoughts, and had previously been treated in other psychiatric units.

What made Brittany different, according to him, was the way she spoke to him and cared for him—with dignity, compassion, and hope. He said her approach made him feel like he could survive and move forward.
