I did not want to be in the hospital; Sarah was my nurse and provided assurance and comfort while I dealt with sepsis complications. She brought to light, for me, that even though I'm in my later years, I am still valued and, though moving more slowly, I'm loved. Sharing her experiences with our mutual love of family and horses, she brought up my past life experience, adding worth to the family's ideals. Sarah was busy with almost every room filled under her charge, but she took time to check on me, assuring I was not left between my bed and bathroom, as I was hooked up to IVs my entire stay in the hospital. Her attitude, presence, demeanor, and kind spirit lifted my heart and will to accept where my health leaves me these days. Also, her co-workers relied on her judgment and "timing" in their busy and much-needed assignments. I am fortunate to have had her care. Thank you for having her in JRMC.
