Ashton from the labor and delivery unit was an amazing nurse who made me feel comfortable and supported in my decisions. At 35 weeks, I had to be induced due to our baby being diagnosed with fetal growth restriction. Ashton made sure baby and I were closely monitored constantly.

When assisting me, she made sure to let me be in control of everything. For example, when Ashton was asking me something as a contraction was coming on, she would wait patiently and let it pass before allowing me to answer her question. She didn't make me feel rushed or uncomfortable at all.

At the end of my delivery, I believed my water had broken, but it ended up being placental abruption, and I was bleeding a ton. I would have never known how serious it was because of how calm and collected Ashton remained.

Within seconds Ashton reacted quickly and several nurses came to assist and minutes after our baby girl would be delivered safely. If it had not been for the calm and alertness of our nurse Ashton, I don’t know what would have happened.

Although my delivery as a first-time mom was traumatic, I did not realize it because of the amazing care Ashton provided throughout it all. Even after delivery during fundal massages, Ashton made sure to wait until I was comfortable with her to begin.

She is truly so kind and attentive.
