I would like to nominate this phenomenal nurse because she truly embodies every quality of an exceptional nurse. Abigail is kind, empathetic, intelligent, and one of the hardest-working leaders in our unit. She's constantly looking out for her patients, their families, and her coworkers; always going above and beyond to make sure everyone is cared for. She's never afraid to advocate for her patients, families, or teammates.

Even in the busiest moments, she'll stop what she's doing to check in on others, like when my blood sugar drops, she immediately offers to grab me a snack or juice without hesitation. Abigail's always the first to lend a helping hand, no matter how busy her own assignment is. Her compassion extends far beyond her daily duties.

Once, she bought clothes for a baby being adopted to ensure the family had everything they needed to bring her home. And just today, she took a palliative care patient with limited mobility outside in a wagon so she and her mom could enjoy fresh air after being in the hospital for so long. Abigail consistently brings smiles to her patients' faces and provides the most genuine, wholehearted care to everyone she encounters. No matter a person's background, beliefs, or circumstances, she gives 150% every single time. We are all so grateful for her compassion, leadership, and heart.
