I have worked with Amanda for the last 3.5 years in the Oncology/Hematology department. She is invaluable to me, our patients, and the department as a whole for her tireless efforts in assuring every patient has what they need as they fight the toughest battle of their lives.

Not only is she an Oncology Nurse Navigator, but she also serves as our Oncologist nurse, stepping in to help with infusions when our other nurses need a hand and ensuring all oral chemotherapy medications are ordered and delivered in a timely manner to patients. She works weekends when needed and stays late to provide care to our patients.

With patients' permission, Amanda has even used her spare time to pick up and deliver medications to a patient when they had no other way to obtain the needed prescription. I cannot say enough about how much Amanda is valued by our patients and staff here in Oncology. Amanda provides Oncology patients navigation.

She obtains medication authorizations and works countless hours to make sure patients and families have the necessary resources to support their care. This includes gas cards for transportation, even groceries from Helping Hands. She gives up education day to stay on site to provide care and treatment, as she is also chemo certified. She comes in on the weekend to provide services.
