Being 3 weeks postpartum and having to go through an unexpected surgery for appendicitis, nurse Kerrianne made me feel well taken care of. She took into consideration my emotional state, having to leave my newborn baby, and was patient with me. She was always coming into my room to make sure I had everything I needed, from pain medication to emotional support, and mobility support if I needed to get up. Kerrianne made me aware that she was a new nurse, but as a patient, I could not tell. Her compassion, dedication, and attention to detail were exceptional. New nurses like her need to be recognized for their ability to be adaptable and fast learners with 6 patient assignments.
