She shows up for our team, and she exemplifies the true meaning of a department manager, and so much more.
The way she leads puts all the staff at ease. I have never heard anyone say they feel a lot of pressure at work. On nights that we are extremely short, she jumps right in and works the floor without a single complaint. I have honestly never seen that in a nurse manager. I have plenty of other examples, but I will run out of space. She makes me want to work my hardest. I'm glad to have her as a nurse manager.

When Jen is here, she is always willing to help out in every and any way she can. She doesn't hesitate to pitch; she always has an open-door policy and makes staff feel supported and cared for.

“Where do I begin? Jen is the nurse manager of the ER. On many occasions, I've personally seen her go above and beyond for patients and staff alike. She will jump in and take a section to help the team. She will turn over rooms when EVS is busy. She will help with nurse lunches if we are short-staffed.
She goes above and beyond for her team. She will help during the day, be available at night, answer phone calls, and respond to texts. She is prompt in addressing patient and staff concerns, and she will get the equipment or materials we need with urgency. She advocates for our team. She shows up for our team, and she exemplifies the true meaning of a department manager, and so much more.
She provides a safe space and open door policy. She is fair, kind, easy going, and everyone appreciates her. She deserves to be recognized.
Thank you, Jen!
