I will always be grateful for the grace and humanity he brought to those final days and hours.
During my father’s illness and various hospital stays, we were blessed with countless amazing nurses, PCNAs, doctors, NPs, PAs, housekeepers, etc who took such great care of him. In his final days, we were lucky enough to have a remarkable nurse who became a true guardian and advocate—not only for my father but for me as well.
Daniel was the charge nurse who oversaw and helped the other amazing nurses who took care of my dad. And then he was my dad’s main nurse during his final two days. With unwavering compassion and professionalism, he cared for my dad with dignity, patience, and tenderness, bringing comfort in the most difficult time. He listened, explained, and made sure every need—medical or emotional—was met with gentle strength.
His presence was calming, especially when doctors were talking to me about big decisions, and I didn’t feel alone knowing he was there for my father and me. I can’t thank him enough for the way he looked out for me and made sure I knew I wasn’t alone in any of it. His advocacy gave me peace of mind, knowing that my father was seen as the person he was and deeply respected, and his wishes were being met.
I will always be grateful for the grace and humanity he brought to those final days and hours. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We were so lucky to have you.
